Georgia is an agrarian country and agriculture is considered as a backbone of the country’s economy. Economic development and social-economic conditions of each member of the society depends on economic strength and health. Previously, Georgia has achieved certain progress in agricultural development and in most important economical problem-solving process. The private sector has become a leading engine of great part of economic progress. Despite of achievements in establishment of enabling regulatory environment much remains to be done.
The organization mission is to revitalize agriculture and SMEs in west Georgia by better informing farmers, training entrepreneurs, strengthening the export market, linking farmers and entrepreneurs to the credit sources, educating youth, and developing relations with international agricultural organizations.
Since its inception GABC has implemented projects supported by the different international and local Donors like World Bank, European Commission, Eurasia Foundation, UNDP, World Food Program, CARE, CARE/West GCMI, CHF Int, IOCC, IESC and Caritas International.
